Examples of questions asked for One Question/One Problem:
1. "I am a thirty-two year old single woman who was in a car accident a month ago. I wasn't driving but I still can't get the accident out of my mind. My friend was driving and the car was totaled but luckily no one was badly hurt. Since then I have trouble sleeping and don't like to drive my own car anymore. If I just think another car is coming too close, I become very frightened and have to pull over to the side of the road. My heart beats fast and and everything starts to seem fuzzy and far away. Is this normal and will this go away?"
2. "I am twenty-two years old and have moved to New York City from a small town in Indiana. Every time I call home, my mom says, she " never hears from me!" I call home every week but then we end up fighting because no matter how much I call, it's never enough! I don't want to call home anymore! What can I do?"
3. "I've been seeing this older guy, named Tom, for over a year now. I'm a 28 year old single mom with a ten-year- old daughter, who just got divorced a year and a half ago. Tom is 35, and was married once, but divorced ten years ago. Every time I talk about our moving in together, Tom says he loves me but he's not ready to settle down. I believe he loves me, but I keep putting my life on hold for him. Then when I try to just spend time with my friends, Tom comes at me more. But still as soon as I ask for more of his time and even about living together, he says he's not ready. If he loves me why won't he live with me?"
